"I joined the gym in 2011 to lose weight and to lower my cholesterol. I met with Ann and discussed my goals and we developed a plan to get there.

The first few months were tough at first because I wanted to see a result immediately in my weight loss and that wasn't happening.

Ann was there to listen and she emphasized how important it was not to try and accomplish everything at once, but to break it down in three steps.

First step was to develop a love for exercise. From that I realized how much stronger I felt and how much more energy I had throughout the day. Now I felt I could tackle my weight loss goal.

Second step was to learn to love eating healthy...making healthier food choices most of the time and realizing it was ok to have an occasional not so healthy food item without feeling guilty.

After changing my eating habits step 3 was to track my weight loss.

To date I have lost 50 lbs. and am on track to my final weight loss goal!

From the beginning Ann supported and guided me to success. I have my confidence back and I feel I can be a positive role model to my two little boys."

Every one of us comes to the gym with good intentions. What causes them to not accomplish what they set out to do is overloading themselves with too many goals at once.

Come up with realistic goals that you know you can accomplish. Tackle one goal at a time and realize there is no race to the finish line. Enjoy your journey to a healthier life style; knowing there will be bumps in the road along the way and be ok with that.

Jori has successfully adopted the multi-step, long-term success philosophy. Successfully enough to lose 50 pounds! Amazing how it works when you do it right! I am proud of you as well as I'm sure many others in you life....keep up the outstanding work in the gym!
